Reflexology is a non invasive gentle therapy suitable for babies from birth.  Tiny babies, children and adults can all benefit from this ancient therapy that has been used for centuries to bring about healing, balance and a sense of well-being.  It is based on the principle that all our body parts and bodily systems are reflected on the feet.  By applying gentle massage and therapeutic touch to specific reflex points, will have an effect in the corresponding body part and whole child.

Paediatric treatments are shorter in length than adults, usually lasting 20/30 minutes or the length of time a child’s attention can be engaged.  As a child progresses through secondary school, sessions may become longer and could range up to 45 minute sessions. These will be gauged on the individual child’s requirements for treatment.  Older children are more than welcome to experience a treatment whilst plugging in their earphones and listening to music or watch their favourite programmes.  This experience is all about them and treating them correspondingly.  

Children seem to respond and react to the healing of reflexology at a quicker rate than adults, therefore seeing more noticeable changing in a shorter period of time.

Crystal Sound Therapy (Adult)

Mindful-me are yoga and mindful meditation classes for children. These classes encourage children to explore their emotions in a fun filled way.

Children will be give the opportunity to explore multiple relaxation exercises and strategies which they can use independently when feeling the ‘big emotions’.

It is widely recognised in adult life that the use of yoga and meditation can greatly improve mental mortality and life outcomes. For this reason I believe it is important to encourage the same strategies to be provided and distilled into young children, enabling them to have coping skills to navigate their way through life.

During the classes children will engage in fundamental yoga. This is yoga through game, exercise or play. By providing children with learning opportunities through this medium, they are more likely to engage and remember the learning outcome we want them to gain from the class. Children will be given the opportunity to explore their breath and the importance of the breath when it comes to our racing minds. They will learn different breathing exercises which may be used at their convenience. All classes will then end with a meditation script, providing children with the opportunity to totally relax and experience the feeling of calm.

Reflexology is practiced using gentle pressure with only the fingers and thumbs on points of the feet.  These points reflect specific area of the body.  In this way the body is encouraged to work to 100% of its capacity, returning the body’s systems to a natural state of balance, enhancing the recipient’s own natural healing capabilities.  At the end of your treatment your reflexologies will be able to advise a suitable course of treatment for your individual needs.

Reflexology can reduce stress by inducing deep relaxation.  In this way it can be particularly helpful in combating recurring and long-term conditions.

This summer, we’re back with our *Mindful-Me  Summer Camp* .... a 3-day wellbeing camp created just for children, and I’d love to invite your child to be part of it.

At our *Mindful-Me Camp*, children will be gently introduced to **mindful movement, breathwork**, **creative mindfulness activities**  and **sound therapy** … all delivered in a playful, child-centered way that speaks to their imagination and curiosity.

The camp is split into two age groups to ensure every child is supported at their level:

Toddler Reflex is specially adapted reflexology points designed and created for application to young children.  The Toddler Reflex Programme is perfect for children aged approximately 10 months and upwards. Routines taught are accompanied by nursery rhymes and lullabies appealing to toddlers and parents and it is great fun!   It aims to:
